College Football 2024 Week 6 Preview: Let’s Take a Deep Breath

Week 5 Recap

Well that was certainly fun. Alabama is still infuriatingly good, Georgia couldn’t complete the miracle comeback, Arizona threw a wrench into the Big 12 race, and Ole Miss got shocked by Kentucky. In contrast to last week’s gauntlet of ranked matchups, this week is a good chance for us to catch our breath and see where everyone stands at the 1/3 mark of the season. We’ve got a few fun SEC and ACC matchups as well as a championship rematch to enjoy, so let’s dive in!

Most Interesting Matchups

Missouri @ Texas A&M: Missouri is flying a bit under the radar, and the Aggies are looking to gain some distance on the teams ahead of them in the SEC. Now would be a good time for the Tigers to prove they belong in the Top 10.

Michigan @ Washington: The rematch of last season’s National Championship game has lost a bit of its luster, but a Big Ten matchup under the lights in Seattle should be fun to watch.

Pitt @ North Carolina: The Panthers look to keep their undefeated season alive in their first ACC matchup of the year. The Tar Heels are hoping to put back-to-back losses behind them and hopefully won’t give up 70 points this time.

FCS Game of the Week

North Dakota @ North Dakota State, 10/5 3:30PM

The battle for the Frozen North pits the ranked Bison and Fighting Hawks together in a game with major FCS playoff seeding implications. While North Dakota may often feel like an overlooked state, it does produce some very entertaining football teams.

Selected Pick ATS

  • Missouri (+2) @ Texas A&M
  • Michigan (+2.5) @ Washington
  • Pitt(-3) @ North Carolina
  • Texas Tech @ Arizona (-6)
